Senior physician (m/w/d)

The position

For this expanding Pediatric Department, we are recruiting a Senior Physician (Oberarzt) to take on the clinical leadership and strategic development of the Pediatric Emergency Department. Positioned as more than a standard senior physician role, this appointment offers a clear shaping mandate in pediatric emergency care. The unit treats over 10,000 non-trauma pediatric emergency cases annually and is equipped with a resuscitation room and four treatment rooms, located directly adjacent to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The emergency service is housed within a newly constructed outpatient center that integrates emergency care, an outpatient practice (MVZ), authorized specialist clinics, and functional diagnostics. A pediatric day clinic is currently in the planning phase.

• Board certification in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin).
• Solid experience in pediatric emergency and intensive care medicine is required; specialized qualifications in pediatric emergency care are desirable.
• Clinical leadership and operational management of the pediatric emergency department, supervision of resident physicians in training, continuous refinement and rollout of SOPs, and leading emergency/megacode training sessions.
• Permanent contract, available in full-time or part-time.
