Senior physician (m/w/d)

The position

For this Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in East Westphalia-Lippe, we are recruiting a Senior Physician (Oberarzt) in General Pediatrics available full-time or part-time. The unit serves as the primary clinical backbone of the pediatric hospital, working in close synergy with pediatric emergency care, neonatology, pediatric intensive care, and pediatric surgery. Operating as a University Medical Center providing tertiary care, the facility features a Level 2 Perinatal Center and a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Core responsibilities encompass clinical management of general pediatrics and emergency care alongside a strategic mandate to refine clinical guidelines and care pathways in close alignment with departmental leadership. Holding an additional subspecialty certification is welcomed but explicitly not required.

• Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) with comprehensive clinical expertise in general pediatric and emergency care.
• Subspecialties are desirable but optional.
• Leadership-minded clinician driven to optimize clinical processes, advance treatment pathways, and mentor junior medical staff within an academic hospital setting.
