The position

For this University Hospital, we are recruiting a permanent Lead Senior Physician (Leitender Oberarzt, full-time or part-time). The position is framed as a strategic leadership mandate: You will lead the development and expansion of the pediatric cardiology outpatient clinic (kinderkardiologische Ambulanz) according to your own clinical vision—ideally collaborating with a state-of-the-art Heart Center currently under construction and the division of Preventive Pediatrics. Candidates are expected to hold board certification in Pediatric Cardiology alongside innovative ideas to shape the department's future trajectory. Active participation in academic research projects is strongly encouraged and supported, as is the acquisition of further subspecialties and certifications. On-site childcare facilities is provided.

Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) with the subspecialty in Pediatric Cardiology required.
Conceptual mindset, strategic drive, and a clear vision to develop outpatient pediatric cardiology services in synergy with the new Heart Center.
