Lead senior physician (m/w/d)
The position
For the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, we are recruiting a permanent Leading Senior Physician (Leitender Oberarzt) starting immediately on a full-time basis (40 hours/week). The clinical scope encompasses the full spectrum of general pediatrics, including respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, and gastroenterological conditions. The department treats neonates and premature infants from 32+0 weeks of gestation and provides perioperative management for acute surgical and urological cases in collaboration with surgical disciplines. Outside regular clinic hours, the department covers regional pediatric emergency care for patients up to 18 years of age. Notably, this executive role features an exceptionally low entry barrier: The sole prerequisites are board certification in Pediatrics and strong German language skills at C1 level. Neither a formal subspecialty nor prior leadership experience is required, making this an extraordinary career milestone to step directly into a senior leadership appointment.
- Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) and C1-level German proficiency.
- Prior managerial experience or subspecialties are not required.
- Leadership drive to assume senior management duties within a broad pediatric setting and enthusiasm for acute regional pediatric care.
