Senior physician (m/w/d)
The position
For this renowned pediatric hospital, we are recruiting a permanent physician in Neonatology (full-time or part-time from 30 hours per week). This opening is explicitly created to expand the medical team rather than to replace departing staff. Operating as the largest Level 2 Perinatal Center in the federal state, the department maintains 21 general pediatric beds and 16 neonatal beds, treating approximately 2,300 inpatients annually. Clinical duties encompass the initial resuscitation and care of premature and newborn infants, participation in neonatal call and transport duties, and extensive diagnostic imaging including cranial, abdominal, pleural, renal, and hip ultrasound, as well as echocardiography. The position requires board certification in Pediatrics with the Neonatology subspecialty or advanced subspecialty training nearing completion; prior experience in pediatric ultrasound and echocardiography is desirable. Benefits include an occupational pension scheme, three CME days, and a fully employer-funded supplementary health insurance package.
- Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) with a subspecialty certification in Neonatology or advanced training toward it
- Practical skills in ultrasound and echocardiography are advantageous.
- Dedication to high-level perinatal care within a major Level 2 center, strong collaborative skills, and active involvement in neonatal call and transport services.
