The position

For this major specialty hospital, we are recruiting a Chief Physician / Department Head (Chefarzt) for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine to succeed a retiring director, with a negotiable start date. The hospital operates 800 beds across 26 departments, featuring advanced infrastructure including a central operating suite with twelve ORs, a hybrid OR, two surgical robots, 24/7 diagnostic imaging, and dedicated in-house institutes for pharmacy, laboratory diagnostics, microbiology, transfusion medicine, and pathology. The pediatric department encompasses 50 beds, including 20 neonatal beds (4 ICU and 10 IMC beds), treating over 1,500 general pediatric and nearly 200 neonatal patients annually within a recently recertified Level 2 Perinatal Center. Core responsibilities include operational, clinical, and administrative department leadership, strategic expansion of pediatric services, and medical team training. Requirements include board certification in Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Neonatology and the qualifications required for full postgraduate training authorization. The role offers direct, responsive collaboration with hospital executive leadership.
