Senior physician (m/w/d)
The position
For a renowned Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) situated within one of the largest tertiary care hospitals in the federal state (comprising 25 specialized departments), we are recruiting a Senior Physician (Oberarzt) in full-time or part-time. The position features a remarkably clear succession pathway: Subject to clinical and leadership performance, the appointment includes the explicit option to step into the role of Head of the SPZ as part of a planned leadership transition. The center holds a supra-regional mandate, treating children with manifest or impending developmental disorders and chronic illnesses within a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, therapists, and social workers. A key benefit: The Chief Physician holds full training authorization for Neuropediatrics as well as EEG training credentials, allowing candidates to acquire the subspecialty on-site. Prior experience in social pediatrics or neuropediatrics is desirable but not strictly required.
- Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) required.
- Initial experience in neuropediatrics or social pediatrics is welcomed, but not mandatory (subspecialty certification can be completed on-site).
- Leadership drive and strong commitment to interdisciplinary care, aiming to transition into the overall leadership of the SPZ as part of the succession arrangement.
