Senior physician (m/w/d)
The position
For this high-performing Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, we are recruiting a permanent Senior Physician (Oberarzt). Operating 23 beds in total, the clinic features an integrated nine-bed Level 3 Neonatology unit equipped for invasive and non-invasive ventilation - offering a remarkably high level of acute care relative to bed capacity. The hospital serves the entire district and surrounding regions, treating patients from neonates up to age 18 across all clinical fields, excluding oncology. The ward operates on an interdisciplinary model, providing pediatric management for surgical cases including traumatology, visceral surgery, orthopedics, urology, spine surgery, and an affiliated ENT unit. Core responsibilities center on coordinating medical ward workflows. A significant lifestyle advantage: Duty coverage is restricted strictly to on-call shifts supported by employee-friendly, flexible working schedules. The clinic actively fosters an international medical team and explicitly accepts a Specialist Language Certificate (Fachsprachenzertifikat) for application entry.
- Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) or advanced recognition stage; required.
- A German Language Certificate at C1 (Fachsprachenzertifikat C1) is fully accepted for initial application.
- Strong organizational capabilities for ward coordination, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary surgical co-management, and practical skills in neonatal respiratory care.
