Lead senior physician in Pediatric Pulmonology (m/w/d)

The position

For this tertiary care center, we are recruiting a permanent Leading Senior Physician (Leitender Oberarzt, m/f/d) to head the specialized division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergology. The appointment includes direct leadership of a dedicated medical team and a clear strategic mandate to expand the department both clinically and academically. The clinical spectrum covers the full breadth of complex pulmonary and allergic conditions, including Cystic Fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, severe pediatric asthma, and comprehensive pediatric allergology. Methodologically, the department utilizes advanced procedures including pediatric bronchoscopy, long-term home mechanical ventilation programs, and a dedicated pediatric sleep laboratory. The position requires board certification in Pediatrics with the German subspecialty in Pediatric Pulmonology. For candidates with academic ambitions, the institution provides outstanding scientific infrastructure including dedicated, protected research time to pursue personal research initiatives.

• Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) with the recognized subspecialty in Pediatric Pulmonology; additional certification in Allergology is desirable.
• Proven medical leadership skills, deep procedural expertise in pediatric pulmonology (e.g., bronchoscopy, sleep medicine), and drive to advance the division's clinical and academic trajectory.
