Senior physician for neonatology (m/w/d)

The position

For this high-capacity specialty hospital, we are recruiting a permanent Senior Physician (Oberarzt) in Neonatology. A standout feature of this position lies in emergency and transport medicine: The department directs the regional neonatal intensive care transport service, supported by a dedicated, specialized call-duty compensation model—a rare and attractive opportunity for physicians passionate about neonatal transport care. Entry requirements are intentionally accommodating: While formal subspecialty certification in Neonatology is ideal, equivalent clinical qualifications and practical NICU experience are explicitly accepted. Furthermore, the incoming candidate will benefit from an upcoming operational upgrade, as the entire department is scheduled to transition into a brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital building.

• Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) required.
• The formal Neonatology subspecialty is desirable, but equivalent clinical NICU competence is fully sufficient.
• Strong clinical expertise in neonatal intensive care and resuscitation, combined with enthusiasm for active involvement in regional neonatal intensive transport services.
