Lead senior physician (m/w/d)

KJM-BDB-008 Southern Brandenburg General Paediatrics

The position

For this hospital network, we are recruiting a physician in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine as part of a planned retirement succession—ensuring a smooth, well-structured transition. The regional group operates 444 beds across three sites, treating approximately 40,000 inpatient and outpatient cases annually, with all pediatric services centralized at a single facility. Responsibilities encompass acute, primary, and emergency care for all pediatric patients, expanded basic neonatal care, and the clinical supervision of resident physicians. This position features a remarkably low barrier to entry: While a subspecialty in Neonatology is desirable, young board-certified pediatricians (Jungfachärzte) aiming to transition into their first Senior Physician (Oberarzt) role are explicitly encouraged to apply. Benefits include optional participation in emergency medicine services, flexible working models, and assistance with housing search.

  • Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) required.
  • A subspecialty in Neonatology is advantageous, but newly certified specialists targeting a senior role are explicitly welcomed.
  • Commitment to broad pediatric emergency and primary care, resident teaching, and step-by-step assumption of senior clinical responsibilities.
