Senior physician (m/w/d)

The position

For this Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in the Düsseldorf region, we are recruiting a Senior Physician (Oberarzt) with a neonatological focus, preferably full-time. Recognized as a Level 2 Perinatal Center managing approximately 1,800 births annually, the department features a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) newly built in 2020. The role calls for a clinician with a broad general pediatric foundation and extensive practical experience in neonatal care. Notably, formal subspecialty board certification in Neonatology is not explicitly required, creating an exceptional entry opportunity for experienced pediatric specialists with strong clinical skills in the field. Core duties encompass senior call duties and taking responsibility for specialized clinical management tasks.

• Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) paired with extensive hands-on experience in Neonatology.
• Formal subspecialty certification in Neonatology optional.
• Readiness to participate in senior call schedules and a drive to actively shape patient care processes on a modern neonatal ICU.
