The position

For a Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) located in a major city in southern Saxony-Anhalt, we are recruiting a Medical Director as part of a planned retirement succession taking effect during 2027. This extended timeline provides an ideal planning horizon for executives managing long contractual notice periods. The mandate encompasses full clinical, operational, and financial directorship of the SPZ, staff leadership, strategic service development, and regional representation according to the quality standards of the Altöttinger Papier. The overarching Pediatric Center integrates a Perinatal Center, General Pediatrics, an independent Neonatology & ICU division, Pediatric Surgery & Urology, Pediatric Anesthesiology, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the SPZ under one roof. The hospital also serves as an accredited training center for Pediatric Nephrology.

Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) with the subspecialty in Neuropediatrics required.
Leadership credentials must follow the Altöttinger Papier standards.
Proven executive leadership experience, financial acumen, and strategic drive to advance social pediatric care within an integrated tertiary center.
