Medical Director for SPZ (m/w/d)

The position

For a social pediatric department, we are recruiting a permanent Medical Director (Ärztliche Leitung SPZ). In this pivotal leadership role, you will assume overall clinical ownership of the location and lead a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team comprising nine distinct professional disciplines (including psychology, therapy, and social sciences). Your daily focus centers on conducting initial evaluations, leading case management, and guiding long-term care plans for children and adolescents with developmental delays, complex disabilities, and neuropediatric conditions. Additionally, building active networks with regional hospitals, outpatient physicians, and social service organizations forms a key pillar of the responsibility. The position offers extraordinary lifestyle advantages: There are completely no night shifts or weekend duties. Prior leadership experience is not require making this post ideal for a clinician eager to step into an outpatient director role.

• Board certification in Pediatrics (Facharztanerkennung Kinder- und Jugendmedizin) required.
• Strong interest in social pediatrics, developmental neurology, and multidisciplinary care plans (Subspecialty credentials desirable, not required).
• Empathetic communication skills, enthusiasm for leading multi-professional teams, and the motivation to build strong collaborative ties within the regional care network.
